Washroom on course to secure public sector work
20th March 2018
We’ve been named as an approved fabricator as part of a framework deal to deliver improvements to the Metropolitan Police Estate in London and the South East over the next five years.
This follows the success of the projects we completed five years ago for 10 new-build police stations throughout Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk including Dagenham, Brentwood, Bury St Edmunds, Kings Lynn and Ipswich.
When last completed each project had different specific requirements but we designed, manufactured and installed charge desks, reception counters, bulkheads, cell benches and ancillary furniture for each new police station. Additionally we delivered washroom fit outs and bespoke joinery elements, all of which were designed specifically to suit a secure accommodation environment.
As well as working to BREEAM standards where required, we’re also NOMS Safer Cell Compliance and Home Office Approved. It’s vital that secure accommodation facilities are manufactured to the highest standards and are hardwearing and durable enough to withstand the rigours of such an environment.
Solid surface materials such as Corian offer an ideal solution for secure accommodation projects. As well as a high durable and hygienic surface, Corian is also available in a wide range of different colours and patterns to create an attractive finish.
The projects covered by the £80 million framework will vary from new build projects to internal refurbishment and fit-out of existing facilities for various forces over the next five years.
