Rounding off our second quarter: leisure highlights
7th August 2019
As we enter the second half of 2019, we’ve taken a look back at some of our most impressive and unique leisure sector projects from this year so far.
Third Space, Tower Bridge
Having previously worked with luxury gym chain Third Space at its Soho and City clubs, we were asked to design and install the new locker and changing area of Third Space’s Tower Bridge branch this year. The bespoke code access lockers, as well as Luminoso glass shower cubicles combine to create a unique changing area – befitting of the Third Space philosophy.
The gym’s vanity area was created using our Arpeggio solid surfacing vanity and make up units, featuring bespoke mirrors with a metal trim to create a practical yet stylish space.
Gymbox, Ealing
Another returning client this year was Gymbox, whose aim is to create space to work out in a fun way, putting emphasis on resident DJs, unique classes and inspiring interiors. We worked with the team to create a stylish new shower and changing area ahead of the opening of its twelfth London location in Ealing, after having completed work on at the London Victoria gym in 2016.
To create a striking look for the new gym’s changing area, we specified our glass Luminoso shower cubicles with black back painted glass doors, together with our Marcato toilet cubicles with solid grade laminate doors, clad in back painted glass to create a mirror effect and match the shower cubicles.
For the bespoke lockers, we created a unique oil-slick effect using aluminium sides and doors faced in mild steel with a yellow zinc electroplated finish, digital access code locks and bold numbering.
The shower and changing area was completed with Concerto solid grade laminate duct panels, offering easy access for maintenance whilst covering services to maintain the space’s aesthetic appeal.
Butlins, Bognor Regis
We injected colour into the Splash Building at Butlin’s Bognor Regis, which houses a family sized pool and seaside-inspired features such as a Helter Skelter and Seaside Garden rapids.
To create the look, we installed Forte solid grade laminate washroom and changing cubicles in a variety of colours including blue, red and yellow. Forza solid grade lockers were installed in two tone colours, and the design was finished with solid surfacing and solid grade laminate swimwear dryer units.
However you’d like your washrooms, showers and changing areas to look, our team can work with you to deliver the perfect space for your next leisure project. If you’ve got a project in mind, why get in touch with the team today.
