Real wood veneer and back-painted glass
The new building, designed by Allies and Morrison to provide Grade A office space over nine floors, offers superb views across the city from its roof terraces and has achieved BREEAM Outstanding status.
Washroom’s specialist joinery team, working closely with interiors specialist Square Metre, installed a new reception counter and central hub area including various tea and copy points on level five of the building, in a project worth £160,000.
As the washrooms are situated in the middle of each floorplate, allowing for flexibility to divide the space between two occupants, the exterior walls of the washrooms are visible from all angles and therefore needed to complement the office space. A bespoke mix of real wood veneer and back-painted glass wall linings in a distinctive purple colour, were installed by the Washroom team to clad the exterior washroom walls.
The reception counter, which was manufactured in Corian in a bright white, was also designed and installed by the Washroom team. Incredibly durable and easy-to-clean, Corian is ideal for use in a busy office environment such as this.
