Carpenters’ Hall is home to the Carpenters’ Company, which was established more than 500 years ago as a trade guild to safeguard the welfare and interests of carpenters in the City of London – something it continues to do today. Based in London Wall since 1429, the current Carpenters’ Hall, which opened in 1960, is the third building on the site. It was rebuilt within the external walls of the old 19th century building which had been almost completely destroyed during the Second World War.

Today the Carpenters’ Hall, with its large banqueting hall and ornate interior design which features around 18 different kinds of wood, provides a striking venue for events. The historic building was recently refurbished by office design and fit-out specialists, PPC London, with our team installing new male and female washrooms.

We installed our full height Alto toilet cubicles, which were finished with a walnut real wood veneer to complement the rest of the building’s interior. The rebated edges and flush front design of the Alto cubicle creates a stylish virtually seamless façade for the ultimate design statement.

The new washrooms also feature bespoke vanity units, manufactured from solid surface Corian. With a natural stone-like appearance and hygienic, easy-to-clean surface, Corian provide a luxury finish which is highly durable and easy to maintain.

The vanity units feature inset waste bins as well as individually inset square sinks and we also installed bespoke mirror units above. Completing the design, real wood veneer under panels, in walnut to match the toilet cubicle doors, were installed underneath the vanities.

We also installed our Concerto integrated duct panel system, finished in HPL laminate in a neutral colour, the duct panels not only hide unsightly pipework, but also create a smooth, easy-to-clean finish and allow access for future maintenance, whether planned or reactive.
