Stylish new washrooms and reception area at Capco, Covent Garden
Using an eye-catching bronze and grey colour palette we delivered stylish new washrooms and a striking new reception area as part of an extensive office refurbishment in Covent Garden.
The office, which is home to property management company Capco, stands out in the vibrant Covent Garden neighbourhood with its new statement exterior living wall. With the refurbishment requiring both washroom and joinery elements we worked in partnership with our joinery division, Cre8 Joinery Solutions as well as Shaw Studios architects and Overbuy as main contractor to create a bespoke new reception space plus washroom facilities on all four levels of the building.
We installed a series of self-contained superloos, each with a WC and compact wall-hung vanity unit complete with mirror above and finished with our Concerto integrated duct panel system in grey high pressure laminate. This layout is an ideal way to maximise the available space within the office floorplate while ensuring users have complete privacy.
Our popular Alto full height toilet cubicles were specified with a high gloss grey laminate and complemented with unusual bronze ironmongery to create a unique washroom space. The Alto toilet cubicle’s rebated flush system and matching pilasters creates an attractive, virtually seamless façade for a high specification look and feel.
The bespoke joinery items designed and installed specifically for the project include a stylish feature wall comprising grey spray-painted Oak veneered vertical slats and a new reception desk. Manufactured from Fenix NTM laminate in black with bronze metal inlays and completed with a back-lit logo and Forbo worktop, the new reception desk sets the tone for the rest of the office.
Utilising next generation materials such as FENIX NTM ensures the new reception desk will continue to make an impression on visitors for years to come. Developed using the latest nano-technology by Italian manufacturer, Arpa Industriale, FENIX NTM is soft to the touch and extremely matt. It also boasts anti-bacterial properties and is thermally self-healing – making it the ideal choice for a statement reception space.
The Cre8 team also designed a low level black laminate credenza for storage in the first floor meeting room together with a stylish hot desk workspace bench – an essential element of a versatile workspace.
Completing the project, we installed new entrance doors, internal door sets as well as tea and coffee points on the first floor of the building. New air conditioning casing units, designed to sit beneath the windows on floors one, two, three and four of the building, were painted the same dark grey as the window frames, internal doors, reception area and washrooms to add to the contemporary finish.
