Broadgate Tower London

Broadgate Tower, in the heart of the capital’s financial district, was completed in 2009 and is supported in part by six striking A-frame trusses as it sits above 18 tracks leading into Liverpool Lime Street Station. Fitted out to an extremely high specification throughout, it provides 400,000 sq ft of energy efficient, well-designed office space across 33 floors.

Working closely with interior fit-out and refurbishment specialist Interior Lab, Washroom installed unisex washrooms on Level 14 of Broadgate Tower. The brief stipulated that the new washrooms should match the existing washrooms exactly to meet the high quality finish of the building, but after a hiatus of several years from the original installation, obtaining matching materials for the project was a challenging prospect.

Washroom’s full height Alto WC cubicle doors were installed to provide end users with complete privacy, creating the home-from-home feel increasingly demanded. Veneered in quarter-cut ash to match the specification of the existing washrooms, the Alto cubicles add to the high specification design.

The vanity units, manufactured in granite with painted glass upstands, complete the high specification finish. Paper towel dispensers were concealed behind the vanity mirrors while soap dispensers and waste bins were also integrated into the vanity unit design to ensure the clean lines key to the design were delivered.

In addition, Washroom’s integrated duct panelling system finished in a grey slate effect was installed behind the WCs to ensure ease of access for future maintenance and repairs.
